I've been using MacFamilyTree for over 10 years and with every update, it gets better. Version 9 was a big step forward. I purchased the new version in November , expecting that I would be able to continue using the macfamilytree software!!
That, unfortunately hasn't been the case as version 9 does not facilitate my using the web search provider that I have always been able to use in previous macfamilytree versions. Find My Past no longer appears on the drop down list of web search providers that the latest software is compatible with.
I have reported this to MFT by several emails and they promise every time that an update will be available that will allow the use of FMP!! That update was due end of November didn't happen end of December didn't happen and now end of January didn't happen I have now lost patience with MFT and requested a full refund from them and await their response!!!
I like the interface. Used this app. But I hate the yearly upgrade. Especially if you work with others. It has some good elements, until you get to the reports, views, charts, etc. They are terrible looking. I'm afraid to even look at what some non-designer has done to the websites.
